This part of St. Croix can legitimately be called a forest, but hardly a rain forest. Still, it was the closest we found on the island. This picture was taken at a workshop producing wood products from the local trees. The goal is to support sustainable industry for the area.

This was the first place we saw the Antillean Crested Hummingbird (Orthorhyncus cristatus), which we saw much better later.
