Hargrove Annual Report 2003: JimAndLinda | |||||||||||||
Jim has officially retired. Linda claims he retired ?about nine years ago.? He is happy as a clam at high tide, serving as a house husband. His duties include cooking, shopping, and feeding the animals more than they need. Besides spending his time managing investments for several family members, playing tennis, and indulging his new passion for photographing spiders, he serves as Linda's on-call infogenie and online shopper. He claims to be the fastest googler in Texas .
Not completely idle, Jim volunteers his computer skills to several organizations, serving as webmaster for the Lost Creek Neighborhood Association and the Austin Advanced Practice Nurses. He also developed a database for People's Community Clinic to track immunizations.
He's trying to achieve Claire-level proficiency at Free Cell, but has a long way to go.
Last August, as we were preparing to go to Houston for Bill Hargrove's 50 th birthday, Linda (finally) had her mid-life crisis. Fortunately, she found the fix easily. See for yourself. (Click here.)
Despite Jim's lack of remuneration, or perhaps because of it, Linda continues to work at Adult Care of Austin as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Most of her patients are elderly, so she spends one day a week driving around to visit those that can't make it into the office. Did you think house calls were passé?
