2007 Annual Report: Claire

Claire still loves her work pediatric anesthesiologist at Children's Hospital and Research Center in Oakland, CA. She works really hard when she is on duty and enjoys her vacations the rest of the time. This year, she visited Telluride for the Bluegrass Festival, and popped over to Tuscany for a bike tour. Lately, she has been enjoying snowboarding in Tahoe. Most of the time when we talk to her, she reports that she has just gotten off duty at 7:00 a.m. or something like that.

She has bought a new pad in San Francisco, still in the Cole Valley area of the city, a few blocks from her old abode. Her new place occupies the upper floor of a two unit condo. In San Francisco, it is a big deal to be in a condo, rather than a tenancy in common. The city keeps a tight grip on the number of conversions allowed each year. Her new digs include major amenities: an automatic garage door opener and a dishwasher.

Her new place offers a view of the Pacific Ocean, the value of which exceeds the cost of a modest family home in Austin.
